Wild Catch Cafe in Whittier

Very friendly staff and the food was good.

My wife and I dropped in on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. It made for a great little lunch date! She ordered the breaded chicken sandwich and I opted for a grilled ham and cheese. Both were full of flavor, and I loved the panini touch on my sandwich. It was a cozy little dining area and the service was really nice. Overall, I'd highly recommend Wild Catch if you're going to Whittier for the day. Only sad part is they're open just for the summer season, and will close again in October.

Small cafe a short walk across the bridge from the tour boat loading area. A good cup of coffee, cinnamon-raisin bagel with cream cheese and an egg-bacon-toast breakfast. Friendly service, decent quick meal.

The salmon burger was delicious. The salmon serving was generous size and very tasty. The salad was fresh, green, and nutritious. I recommend this meal.

Super-friendly sandwich shop and coffee bar in Whittier Alaska. They have an enclosed front porch. Food was made fresh and fast. They served excellent Kaldi coffee.

Wow. Just wow. The greens! Yum! Excellent avocado burger with generous amount of ripe avocado. So good. Really enjoyed this quick meal.

My husband and I stopped by The Wild Catch Cafe during a trip to Alaska in July 2019. We ordered a cup of fresh clam chowder to share as an appetizer and it was the best I've ever had. I ordered the salmon burger which I expected to be a patty of pressed salmon, but it was actually a fresh plank of the best salmon I could imagine. My husband ordered the fresh halibut and it was so great! It had fresh house made tarter sauce that paired perfectly with it. We both loved our meals so much, we halved them with each other so we could each have both!

Almost left empty handed. If the picnic benches at the front are full of people then you may have a 20-30 minute wait. My wife and I stopped at the Wild Catch Cafe for a melted cheese sandwich to take with us on a Phillips Cruise. The melted cheese sandwich was very good, best I've had in a long time. My suggestion to management would be for employees to notify customers of the wait times prior to ordering. I'm thinking a melted cheese sandwich should be quick, but I don't know the kitchen time on my order.

Took a while to get food, but not too crazy considering it was really busy and only one server working. But the salmon burger was well worth the wait. The beef cheese burger was pretty decent too. Only regret is that I didn't get the halibut fish and chips.

Nice place in Whittier, AK, serving local favorites. The waitress recommended the halibut, and I wasn't disappointed in the least. The fish was perfectly paired to the included dipping sauce, and the fries were deliciously crispy. I recommend having the fries with a sprinkle of cider vinegar and a few shakes of black pepper. It works so well next to the fish. Best halibut I had in the 10 days I was in AK.

Ate dinner here by accident, we were looking for the place closer to the ferry dock. Still, the halibut fish and chips, and salmon sandwich, were good. The ham and cheese was skippable.

Really good fish fry, but only 2 seafood choices. And the waitstaff all seemed lost or absent minded.

The food was excellent. We had the salmon burger and reindeer sausage chili. The burger was juicy and tasty. The chili was spicy but not too much. We ate on the patio which backs up to a set of gas pumps. We would have liked to have been on the water but hey, you take what you get.

Actually very good, the chili was spicy and good and the chicken sandwich had amazing bread, big heirloom tomato slices and tasted.great.

Wild salmon was great! Taste and smell is different than from supermaerkets' frozen one.

This is a nice little cafe with to menus. One for breakfast and the other for lunch/dinner. It is very delishous and you have a good view to all the mountains that surrounding Whittier. Employees are friendly and asking at least every 5 minutes if everything is ok. I recommend going there without a doubt. Oh and the prices are very very cheap.

We order Halibut fish & chips and Salmon burger. Both are very fresh and delicious. The price is reasonable and the staffs are friendly and helpful!
